Valdosta State UniversityGraduate Assistantship Program
Thank you for your interest in VSU's graduate assistantships! In addition to working in a department that provides valuable professional opportunities while earning a degree, the graduate assistantship program allows graduate assistants to pay a flat, per-semester tuition rate of $38.00 - this is applicable to both in-state and out-of-state students! In addition to the $38.00, students also pay various fees as presented in the Graduate Catalog or VSU's fee schedule. These fees include the Health, Athletic, Student Activity, Transportation, Technology, Access Card and other fees plus student health insurance premiums. Click here to visit the Grad Assistant FAQ for more details.
You may use the controls below to filter which department you would like to work for or for jobs that prefer a certain major. You may also click on the column headers to sort the jobs. Clicking the pencil icon will allow you to see a longer description of a job as well as offer you the ability to apply for the job. When you find a job you would like to apply for, simply click the red text in the extended job description that reads "Click Here to Apply!". This option only appears if you have been accepted into a graduate program with either "regular" or "probationary" status. You will then be redirected to the application form where you can give us some information about yourself and upload a resume. You will be contacted by a department if they are interested in interviewing you for a particular position.
From the time you click the "Click Here to Apply!" link, you will have approximately 30 minutes to fill out the application before your authentication expires. If you click the button on the application and are required to sign in again, your application will be lost and you will have to begin again.
The "Click Here to Apply!" link appears at the very bottom of the page after you click the Pencil Icon if you are eligible to apply. Due to the size of some computer displays, it may be necessary for you to scroll down the page in order to see the link by using your mouse wheel or the scroll bar on the right side of your web browser's window.
